Beef Porterhouse Steak is a type of steak that is cut from the short loin section of a cow. It is a combination of two cuts of beef, the tenderloin and the top loin, separated by a T-shaped bone, which gives the steak its distinctive shape.
The tenderloin side of the Porterhouse is the smaller of the two and is very tender, while the top loin side is larger and has a firmer texture. This combination of tenderness and texture, along with its rich flavor, makes the Porterhouse one of the most highly prized cuts of beef.
