Preparation
To Cook Savory Plain Rice Wash rice well and drain out water. For best results soak rice in water for 10-15 minutes. BOIL Bring 1 cup rice (200g) and 6-8 cups water to boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and boil gently, uncovered for 12-14 minutes. Drain well and serve. ABSORPTION Bring 1 cup rice (200g) and 2 cups water to boil, stirring occasionally. For every additional cup of rice add equal volume of water. Lower heat, cover and simmer 12-14 minutes, remove from heat and stand, covered, 5 minutes. MICROWAVE Use the same amount of water and rice as the absorption method. Due to variations between microwaves, please refer to the manual for instructions.
