Pick of the Week - Honey Dew Melon

Out of all the melons, Honeydew Melon loves the hot weather the most and the hotter the weather the more flavour this melon has. Coming from the irrigation area and into South Australia, the recent hot weather has resulted in fantastic tasting melons.

Available with both white and yellow flesh throughout the year, they’re particularly excellent eating during March. You’ll find the white flesh variety at very good prices in stores this week.

HOW TO PICK
Follow your nose - a ripe honeydew melon should smell sweet and fragrant.

HOW TO STORE
Store uncut melon at room temperature. Once cut store covered in the fridge for 2-3 days.
