Dave's Market Update 11.11.2014

IN FRUIT

Stone fruit is what our shops are about this week and leading the charge are mangoes - big ones, small ones, loose, in buckets, trays and many different varieties. These Northern Territory mangoes get better and better over the next few weeks as we shift our supply base from Darwin to the Katherine area which I think grows the best mangoes ever in Australia- therefore the world!! We also have reasonable quantities of peaches and nectarines starting to get going though at this stage the fruit is quite small in size. There are also some reasonable eating cherries arriving at market this week and every week these will get a bit better also. Berries are well supplied and reasonably priced also.

IN VEGETABLE

Vegies by and large are also quite well supplied. We have very good supplies of New Zealand capsicums this week and right now our yellow capsicums are absolutely fantastic!! Australian garlic is now in full swing and most vegies are well supplied and good quality.
