Plenty of good news to report this week with two absolute standouts Queensland strawberries and broccolini. Some brilliant growing conditions in Queensland have seen strawberries thrive producing some good volumes. Fruit quality is exceptional and the special price this week is the added sweetener.
IN VEGETABLE
Broccolini is at a great price at all Harris Farm Markets stores. The broccolini we have on special is not be confused with baby broccoli. Broccolini is far sweeter than many of the hybrid baby broccoli varieties on the market which have stalks that tend to be quite bitter and unpleasant to eat. Gourmet and truss tomatoes have eased in price this week- my pick for tomatoes are those are the magnificent eating petite tomatoes. Other vegetable lines that represent great value include lettuce, broccoli, eggplant, cauliflowers, black zucchini, English spinach, leeks, rhubarb, shallots, Chinese cabbage and beetroot.
